My family and I checked out the Maryland Federation of Art’s 2021 Eye Of The Beholder exhibit at the Circle Gallery (Annapolis, MD, USA) today. It was a treat to see my sculpture along with all of the other work in the show. I’m case you can’t make it, here are a few pics.

PROJECT COMPLETE!
One year of daily apple artwork posts? DONE. Woo-boo!
So that works out to be 301 completed artworks and 57 in-progress posts, including a week of Paint Annapolis plein air work. Go me! My grandfather used to say, “He who tooteth not his own horn—said horn shall not be tooted.” So toot toot!
From this point I need to decide what to do. Blogger is dropping its feedburner functionality so daily emails will stop soon. But I think I will continue posting. Maybe not daily, and I plan to take a break from apples (!), tho I may see if I can complete a round 365 eventually. I will continue to also post on Instagram and Facebook.
Thank you for taking this ride with me. What started out as a whim resulted in SO much growth and learning and experience!
And here is where I plug my shop—help me celebrate by getting me back in the black! I’m in the red from supplies and entry fees again. Every little bit helps! Make a celebratory purchase or donation! Every little bit helps and all are so appreciated.

6/7/2021 Paint Annapolis Day 2
Today I sat at one of the cafe tables at Siri’s Crepes and attempted to paint the US Naval Academy’s Halsey Field House. The pic here doesn’t do it justice but it seems to have a copper roof with a really interestingly varied patina. Here is my sketch. I got some good painting done on it too but it’s out in the car and my feet and ankles are swollen from sitting with a metal cafe chair digging into the backs of my thighs for 5 hours. So I’ll post that tomorrow. The apple was still in my backpack so I’ll defer to my pic of that from yesterday.

6/6/2021 Paint Annapolis!
Sunday was day 1 of my participation in Paint Annapolis (https://mdfedart.com/paintannapolis/#public) and this is my first ever plein air painting. What a learning experience! No apple in the painting but here it is, it was with me! All my art time is going to be taken-up by Paint Annapolis this week so there may be other times the apple is in my bag and not the art—fair warning.
Anyway, I will have 3 paintings up and for sale in the Paint Annapolis “Pop-up” gallery June 12–22. If you like any of the others I don’t choose to submit, let me know—it can be yours!
