This was TRACED from a photo and painted using many layers and next to the photo I can see all these things wrong with it but I have to be done now so I can make dinner so this is it for today—it’s only a study. This was really fun. I may do more of these. I cut pieces from original image (below, titled “Play” because I was playing around with the watercolor brushes and not working from life), and moved/resized them. Then I used the recolor feature and liked the addition of greens & yellows.

Hi all  I’m playing with something new. Just for the record, coming home from vacation sucks. 

And no, I didn’t mean to go all Georgia O’Keefe on you (tho that’s a direction that does interest me). I was trying to use the bottom of the Apple as an island. I am particularly pleased with the water in this one.
