Commission Complete

I had fun transforming a photo for a friend into a more artistic rendering. I did a few different iterations to see what appealed and they chose the one closest to the coloration of the actual photo. The plan is to print it as a 14x14" print and gift it to the person depicted in the photo.

MFA Midsummer Madness

Happy July! My photograph, YIELD—Racing a Baltimore Sunset Down I95, is currently in the Maryland Federation of Art’s Circle Gallery (Annapolis, MD) for their unjuried Midsummer Madness exhibition. See the link to peruse the artworks and information on the upcoming reception. I’d love to see you there!

NYC Trip Photos

I’ve been having fun playing with some of my photos from last weekend’s trip to NYC. I’m definitely adding these to my Reference Photos list for future art and may print them anyway.

Prints are in. Framing commences…

Cutting mats with my mom’s 1959/1962/? Dexter mat cutter and trying not to get an ulcer doing it. I hate measuring! This is all pretty expensive—I hope some of these sell! (Hint hint! Subtle, I know. Nothing but class here.)

09-14-2020 Power apple

So this was my art therapy homework. And then of course I slapped an apple on it so I can include it here! That’s going to be a thing on occasion when I’m not feeling directly Apple-inspired.

The hw Q = What would [my] power look like if I didn’t keep it under the bell jar that I think keeps me safe? What about you? What would your image answer be? Please share in a comment if you try your own answer.
