HOW DO I PURCHASE/COMMISSION AN ARTWORK?

July 2021–Present

After a year of apples, I was understandably ready for a change. My post-apple theme continues to be PLAY: Exploring media that I enjoy, trying more plein air painting, experimenting with new media and techniques etc. Although I take my art seriously, the element of joy in the creative process, such as the childlike fun in pushing paint around, is an essential element for me.

1 Year Project Complete!

My goal of posting an apple-themed artwork each day for a year was completed 20 June 2021.

About Me

Julia K Burzon: Julia K. Burzon is an artist of traditional and digital media. Her formal education includes BS in Entomology/Wildlife Conservation, with a minor in Photography, and a MS in Wildlife Biology.

Julia’s professional art career began with illustration in the 1990s. Published work from that time can be found in various Iowa State University Wildlife Extension publications, as well as scientific illustrations in peer-reviewed physics papers, After a significant hiatus, during which she worked in Wildlife Conservation and Management, owned/operated a small business, and bore and helped raise two children, Julia has now returned to art thanks to art therapy and the encouragement of others. Online stores at both Etsy and on Ko-fi.com offer art available for purchase or commission.
