Time for my annual camping trip to South Sterling, PA in the Pocono mountains. Here is a photo of my I’m-progress plein air painting. I’ll have to finish it at home. Ran out of time and it started to rain….

Drifter
Reworked my first palette knife painting, evening out the planes of the water. I’m much happier with it now.

UPDATE: Mobile version
So I was wondering why I can’t find this on Google and did some poking around. I thought I’d had it indexed but I guess not? I swear I started the process and then maybe there were some things to fix and I did but didn’t restart the process. Well, now I have so we’ll see.
In any case one strike against me was the lack of a mobile version of the blog—FIXED! The problem is that it doesn’t show everything available in the web version like the keyword cloud and archive. SO, if you want those, you’re going to have to click in “web version” at the bottom of the page.
As for the feedburner issue, I’m confused. I continued to get emails so I’m not sure what’s going on with that.
Custom floater frames
Ineeded to make some custom floater frames for these paintings because the lip of the frames cut off the edge of the canvas, which was needed for the sake of composition. = fun with my Dremmel!
Two Sisters, 5x4” acrylic
First palette knife painting
Unfinished? Maybe should smooth out planes. Used so much paint tho, loathe to add more. Love the texture. Was so much fun! Please send $$$ for paint!

MFA Rising Tides Entry + Huh!
So… I got an An Apple A Day email last night with my latest post that said that wasn’t going to happen anymore. They said July, so I though they meant the beginning of July. 🤷🏻♀️ In any case, the point is I was told to expect it to stop amd wanted to warn you and invite you to follow me on Instagram and Facebook.
In other mews, I finished and submitted this 10x14” acrylic painting to the Maryland Federation of Art’s “Rising Tides” call for art. The theme is the effects of sea level rise on Annapolis. My painting depicts the iconic McGarvey’s Oyster Bar & Restaurant as operating from its second story a(and having added an additional story and connected buy a pedestrian bridge to a neighboring block of buildings that has become topped with a green area park. Parking is by boat only and piers with slips now jut out from each building. It was a lot of fun and I’m excited to see if it is chosen. I’m really in love with it and it’s doggo, colorful people. And impressionist boars.
